William P. Teal (born September 1, 1873; died May 25, 1940). William P. Teal was an early 20th century American painter most famous for his bold Impressionist landscapes of gardens by the shore in Rockport, Mass., advertised by David David, Phila., c. 1990. William P. Teal was an excellent draughtsman and portrayed strong architectural forms in his oil paintings. He had a brilliant palette and used the floating color technique of Maurice Prendergast.
