Leone Cooper (1902–1981) was an American painter, educator, lecturer, graphic artist, illustrator, and craftsperson. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she studied at Harris Teachers College and was actively involved in the art community throughout her life.
Cooper exhibited her work at various venues, including the St. Louis Artists' Guild (1939, 1941, 1946), Springfield Art Museum (1941, 1944), and the Laguna Beach Art Association (1946). She was a member of both the St. Louis Artists' Guild and the Society of Independent Artists.
In addition to her artistic practice, Cooper was dedicated to art education. She taught art in St. Louis public schools and at Webster College. She also founded and directed the Leone Cooper Art School in Webster Groves, Missouri, which operated for over two decades, offering classes to both adults and children.
Cooper's work spanned various mediums, but she had a particular affinity for watercolor. Her paintings are part of numerous public and private collections.
