May Hoelscher (American, 1884-1936 ) was born in Aurora, Illinois in 1884. She studied painting with B. Sandzen and Hans Hofmann and also at the Art Institute of Chicago. She exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1927 and also from 1932-1933. She died in 1936 in her hometown of Aurora.
