"Inspiration comes after I begin, I don't wait for it, I begin and the spirit finds me. It is like stepping onto an invisible bridge in the manner of Indiana Jones. I see the bridge in my heart and mind's eye and I take a step into the unknown. We call it magic when a magician waves his hand and a dove appears. In the artist's studio, the painter moves his brush and a whole world appears. When I'm at the easel I feel like a combination of magician and conductor, I conduct and connect the dots of light.
I love to paint in styles that range from classical realism, impressionism, pointillism and paintings done en Plein-air. I often put surprises and symbols in my work that collectors enjoy discovering."
Klein's work is part of the collection of the royal family in Saudi Arabia, Cincinnati Bell, Convergys, Cincinnati Financial, and many other prestigious private collections across the United States.
Keith teaches classes in oil painting, acrylics, pastels, and watercolor five days a week in his studio. Klein studied with Anneliese Wahrenburg at her Atelier for many years, Keith often draws upon her excellent teaching methods with his current students. Many of his students are accepted into the prestigious Governor's School for the Arts and awarded full scholarships for college. He also has a particular affinity and gift for teaching children and adults with special needs.
