Cincinnati Art Galleries presents a special exhibition featuring the work of Cincinnati Art Club presidents as well as other significant Queen City artists from the past. The Cincinnati Art Club was founded in 1890 as a sketch club that met in John Rettig’s studio. It is the second oldest art club in our nation and has fostered a notable roster of famed artists including Frank Duveneck, Robert H. Blum, Henry Farny, Edward H. Potthast, Henry Mosler, Dixie Selden, John Rettig, John E. Weis, Herman Wessel, Bessie Wessel and more.
This exhibition is comprised of works from the inventory of Cincinnati Art Galleries as well as loaned works of art from the permanent collection of the Cincinnati Art Club and a few private collections.
