Cynthia Osborne Hoskin, a native of New England and transplant to Cincinnati in the 1960s, has worked in the mediums of oil, etching, silverpoint, and digital nature prints. These latter were an athletic endeavor that entailed intricate arrangements on a large scanner veiled in augmenting fabrics and requiring all be held by two hands in the air while she operated the keys of the computer with her foot. An image might easily take several hours and many retakes to reach its final state. Then archival printing takes place with the help of the talented Chris Kromer, and the final step is the framing, also in archival manner.
