Eleanor Susannah Wood was born in Manchester in 1857 and attended Manchester School of Art. Her paintings were exhibited at the Royal Academy. Unfortunately the Royal Academy listed her as Eleanor Stuart Wood.

She died in 1936 in Bournemouth.
