Greg Storer resides in Maineville, Ohio. The ideas for his paintings stem from his most personal memories and from the intimate depths where they have matured. His process begins with an examination of photographs from his past. His subjects include family portraits, rural landscapes, football scenes, and images of houses. Storer isolates the images from the precise moments in which they were born, dissociates them from the places that have nurtured them, and erases the details of the images in order to capture the intrinsic elements of light and movement. Storer presents the viewer with fragments of stories in which he invents and inserts his own path through life.
