Streeter Blair was born in Cadmus, Kansas in 1888. He was an educator, editor and owner of an antique business in Los Angeles, before he started painting at the age of 60. Many of his works are accurate recreations of historic scenes, while others are remembrances of his childhood on a farm in Kansas.
