George Debereiner was born in 1860. He was a member of the Cincinnati Art Academy and the Society of the Valley of the Moon.  He studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy under Frank Duveneck and at the Art Institute of Chicago as well as in Holland and Germany. He is remembered locally for the quality of his murals, one of which is at the Fifth Third  Bank in Cincinnati. He died in Arzberg Germany in 1939.
